Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission - Consultation on Food and Nutrition Resources

The Commission is developing a suite of food and nutrition resources.

Residential aged care providers interested in being involved in the consultation process should return the completed form to by Monday 18 October 2021.

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission is developing a suite of resources for consumers and providers on high quality, enjoyable dining experiences for aged care residents, building staff capability to identify and act early on areas that impact on eating, and dignity of choice regarding food and meals.

The resources will cover the following topics:

  1.   Dining

  2.   Choice

  3.   Swallowing/risk

  4.   Oral health.

The Commission is inviting interested providers to review the resources and participate in video conferences with the Commission’s Chief Clinical Advisor, Dr Melanie Wroth.  Please note participation in this consultation process is voluntary and the Commission is grateful for any time investment providers can offer i.e. one topic only or multiple topics.

If you would like to participate, please use the form to nominate your topic preference/s and availability for the consultation session/s to be scheduled between early November and mid-December.
