Aged Care Quality Standards Webinar

In the increasingly complex landscape of Aged Care Services, the Aged Care Quality Standards set the expectations of person-centred care, and the collective contribution and responsibility of the workforce - in meeting and exceeding the requirements for each standard.

13 Jan 2022

The Aged Care Quality Standards webinar is designed as both an introductory and a refresher session for all people involved in the delivery of quality and safe care, that all older Australians deserve. The webinar challenges the participant to reconnect and apply the key principles that ensure that older Australians receive aged care services to suit their needs, interests and preferences.

The latest Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Sector performance report for July to September [1] identified 143 services that were deemed non-compliant against at least one of the Quality Standards. The most common area of non-compliance was standard 3(3)(a) Safe and effective personal and clinical care in residential care and standard 2(3)(a) Safe and effective care and services in home care.

Improve compliance within your organisation, by attending the Quality Standards webinar and support your workforce to understand and implement the Quality Standards effectively.

The learning outcomes include understanding of the:

  • Aged Care Quality Standards and their application in the workplace, and

  • Application of person-centred care.

The Quality Standards 90-minute webinar is delivered by Bernadette Durrell.
