2018 ACSA Aged Care Awards Victoria Finalists and Nominees

The winner and the chosen Victorian Representatives for each category will be presented at the awards presentation networking event at Russell Kennedy Lawyers on Wednesday 18 July 2018 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm.

We are pleased to announce the finalists in Service & Design for the  2018 ACSA Aged Care Awards Victoria and the nominees in the remaining categories that have been through a judging process to decide who will be the successful individual or organisation to represent the great state of Victoria at the 2018 ACSA National Aged Care Awards.   

All successful individuals and organisations will represent Victoria in the National Awards, held in September at the ACSA National Summit in Sydney.

 

Innovation in Service or Design Award – sponsored by Epicor
Recognises a program, project or initiative that shows originality to improve the lives of older Australians.

Finalists

  • Martin Sammut, Assisi Centre Aged Care     

 

Aged Care Provider of the Year  
Recognises a provider who demonstrates outstanding leadership, management, workforce culture, innovation, communication and general excellence to the sector.

Nominees (One will be chosen to represent Victoria at National Awards)

  • Martin Luther Homes

  • Multicultural Aged Care Services

 

Employee of the Year  
Recognises the dedication and contribution of an individual employee in the delivery of services to older people.

  • Joy Leggo, Multicultural Aged Care Services (Geelong)

  • Apel Muhmud, Assisi Centre Aged Care


Volunteer of the Year 
Recognition for an individual who exemplified the tireless generosity of volunteers in caring for and supporting older people and their carers.

  • Elizabeth De Amicis, Assisi Centre Aged Care

Elizabeth is the 2017 Winner of this Volunteer of the Year and will be announced as the Victorian representative in this category for the 2018 National Awards.
