About ACSA Events & Education

Education Programs

With an ever changing landscape in aged care, ACSA’s education programs provide structured learning and education to enhance providers’ knowledge and upon completion participants are given a certificate of qualification or CPD points. Education programs can run for half a day, a full day or for multiple days depending on the topic.

State Events

These events are specific to a state and include Hot Topics, Regional Pop-Up Shops, Networking Events and FocusOn sessions

  • Hot Topics are typically 2-4 hours and their purpose is for aged care providers to learn and discuss specialist topics in aged care which is facilitated by external experts in that area.
  • Regional Pop-Up Shops target providers in rural, regional and remote locations allowing them to connect with ACSA representatives, attend a hot topic and/or meet industry suppliers
  • FocusOn sessions are normally half to full day sessions focusing on a specific area of interest e.g. emergency preparation, home care, residential care etc.
  • Networking Events such as breakfasts, lunches, cocktails drinks or dinners. These will allow attendees to connect with other people working in the aged care industry and/or listen to industry experts present.

National Events

National events are typically large scale conferences that run for a full day or more, with an emphasis on important matters within aged care as presented by thought leaders. These can run as road-show conferences occurring in each state/territory or as a one-off national event.

Experiences will allow attendees to learn outside the classroom in an interactive environment. These events will be held independently or in conjuncture with a national event, e.g. aged care site tours, customer experience tours, international study tours etc.

Online Events

Webinars, webcasts and video recordings will allow members to learn at in their own time, at their own pace and wherever they want. In particular, this will be a valuable educational tool for those located in rural, regional or remote areas.

Please note: Upon request a certificate of participation can be sent to you, as evidence of attendance for CPD hours. Please email us on to request a certificate.
