Pat Sparrow


Pat Sparrow is a social policy leader and innovator with expertise in stakeholder engagement and management. She has specific and detailed expertise in ageing policy and aged care, having worked as, and with, a diverse range of stakeholders including consumers, service providers, workforce, health professionals, corporate organisations and Government. This unique ‘360 degree’ perspective ensures that Pat’s leadership approach is strategic and nuanced, inclusive and collaborative. No one is better placed to represent ACSA and its members as once-in-a-generation reforms of aged care take place.

Trevor’s experience in policy development, strategic planning, commercial acumen and stakeholder relations have been developed in a career that has spanned over 25 years. He entered the complex world of aged care at the end of 2013, at a time of significant change, and is enjoying the challenge of providing industry solutions for the unique issues faced by our members in delivering aged care to older Australians.

Trevor holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelor of Business (BBus) and a Graduate Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).


Darren Mathewson

Executive Director

Strategy & Policy

Darren was previously Chief Executive Officer of Aged & Community Services Tasmania (ACST) for 9 years having previously been an industrial advocate, union leader and educator/campaigner. . Darren represents ACSA at the National Aged Care Alliance and has been active on a number of national committees/groups with ACSA. He is a current Board member of the Tasmanian Council of Social Services (TasCOSS) and was until recently a member of the Federal Government’s Australian Skills and Industry Committee (VET system), representing Tasmanian Industry on behalf of the Tasmanian Government.

Melissa Centofanti

Executive Director

Media & Communications

Prior to joining the ACSA executive management team, Melissa held a number of senior roles in state government, including General Manager at Office for the Ageing and Manager, Quality and Business, Department for Families and Communities.

Melissa has significant experience in governance, having worked with Boards and Committees at all levels, including Ministerial. She brings experience in ageing policy development, stakeholder management and extensive knowledge of the state government political environment. Her leadership and change management experience has been a great asset through the transition to new ACSA. Melissa’s qualifications include Business Management.

Jonathan Marin

Executive Director

Member Services

Jonathan comes to ACSA with a demonstrated track-record in liaising and handling complex IR and HR matters, working across aged care, disability and mental health, managing and coordinating events that deliver on and drive brand recognition and a solid strike rate in connecting grants to strategic imperatives and service delivery model opportunities. Past employers who he has transformed customer engagement and attraction strategies for include Telstra, Sanity, ANZ, Westpac, Webforge, TAFE NSW and New Horizons Enterprises.

Graeme Sala

Chief Operating Officer

With a career dominated by working in various Executive roles across Operations, Finance and Capital management roles, Graeme has handled large and complex budgets and delivered investment strategies which have turned organisations around. Working in the industries of health, insurance, superannuation and automotive sectors, Graeme has overseen large operational functions inclusive of customer service, human resource and the corporate strategy function in organisations such as Medibank, RAA (SA) and BUPA.


Linda Perrine

Chief of People & Culture

As a high performing executive manager, with over 25 years’ experience across the not for profit, government and private sectors, Linda is strategic in her approach and results driven. She is a competent leader with the ability to mentor staff, manage complex and sometimes ambiguous situations and drive organisational change to meet client / customer expectations. A key to Linda's success has been her ability to build internal and external strategic work relationships, understanding the importance of having a strong organisational culture to drive service delivery and having a hands-on approach.
