Pat Sparrow


Pat Sparrow is a social policy leader and innovator with expertise in stakeholder engagement and management. She has specific and detailed expertise in ageing policy and aged care, having worked as, and with, a diverse range of stakeholders including consumers, service providers, workforce, health professionals, corporate organisations and Government. This unique ‘360 degree’ perspective ensures that Pat’s leadership approach is strategic and nuanced, inclusive and collaborative. No one is better placed to represent ACSA and its members as once-in-a-generation reforms of aged care take place.

Craig Bosworth

Acting Divisional CEO NSW, ACT & QLD

National Director Employee Relations

Craig is a business and corporate strategist, specialising in health and aged care sector market and business development. He is an experienced senior executive, whose career has demonstrated a combination of corporate strategic thinking, market and business development, financing and innovation. His experience covers a range of sectors including Health, Compensable Insurance, Private Health Insurance, Digital Health and Payments, Aged Care and the National Disability Insurance Scheme. He has served as Chief of Staff for many Federal Ministers and has held multiple Board positions in the areas of health, aging and the arts. He has a passion and expertise for new and innovative thinking for financing our future health and aged care needs.

Darren Mathewson

Divisional CEO Tasmania & VIC

National Director Strategy & Policy 

Darren has been Chief Executive Officer of Aged & Community Services Tasmania (ACST) for 9 years. He previously held a number of positions in the trade union movement, including State Secretary of the Tasmanian Branch of the LHMU (now United Voice), President of Unions Tasmania and Campaigns Coordinator/Educator. Darren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tasmania and has served on a number of local Boards of community and sporting organisations, through to the State Government’s Social Inclusion Taskforce. Darren has been active on a number of national committees/groups with ACSA. He is a current Board member of the Tasmanian Council of Social Services (TasCOSS) and a member of the Federal Government’s Australian Skills and Industry Committee (VET system), representing Tasmanian Industry on behalf of the Tasmanian Government.

Melissa Centofanti

Divisional CEO SA & NT

National Director Events & Education

Prior to joining the ACSA executive management team, Melissa held a number of senior roles in state government, including General Manager at Office for the Ageing and Manager, Quality and Business, Department for Families and Communities.

Melissa has significant experience in governance, having worked with Boards and Committees at all levels, including Ministerial. She brings experience in ageing policy development, stakeholder management and extensive knowledge of the state government political environment. Her leadership and change management experience has been a great asset through the transition to new ACSA. Melissa’s qualifications include Business Management.

Trevor Lovelle

Trevor’s experience in policy development, strategic planning, commercial acumen and stakeholder relations have been developed in a career that has spanned over 25 years. He entered the complex world of aged care at the end of 2013, at a time of significant change, and is enjoying the challenge of providing industry solutions for the unique issues faced by our members in delivering aged care to older Australians.

Trevor holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelor of Business (BBus) and a Graduate Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
